Companies increasingly use it for <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-sourcing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">active sourcing<\/a>: they search specifically for suitable candidates and approach them directly \u2013 a task that used to be reserved for <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-headhunter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">headhunters<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-recruiter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recruiters<\/a> now work with professional tools to identify relevant profiles. LinkedIn has therefore become a central instrument in modern <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-recruitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Recruiters continuously research potential candidates \u2013 often before a role even exists. Those who are present get found. Some hesitate for reasons of data privacy or out of loyalty to their current employer. But those who use LinkedIn wisely can combine both: visibility for external opportunities while maintaining a professional showcase for their current organisation.<\/p>\n<p>LinkedIn is not a nice-to-have.
