That is not a disadvantage \u2013 it is a position.<\/p>\n<p>Outplacement for professionals aged 50plus follows the same principles as for younger individuals \u2013 yet there are important differences. The support is usually more extensive, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-job-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">job search<\/a> becomes more complex with increasing seniority. I deliberately refer to seniority, not age. The new role needs to align with more dimensions than for a younger candidate. Employers are not looking for blank slates in <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-50plus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">50plus<\/a> candidates, but for individuals with substance and clearly defined <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-strengths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strengths<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Professionals aged 50plus bring experience, maturity and perspective. At the same time, they are often perceived as less flexible and more expensive. Their <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-application\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">applications<\/a> therefore need to be particularly compelling \u2013 professionally, personally and in how they communicate. Good outplacement creates space for self-reflection and <a href=\"https:\/\/2026.karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-personal-and-professional-assessment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">personal and professional assessment<\/a>.
