Why job interview training?
Many people do not fail in job interviews because of their abilities – but because of how they talk about them.
With your written application, you have already shown that you broadly meet the requirements of the role. The interview determines whether your experience, your way of working and your personality become visible. What matters is not only what you can do, but how visible your abilities are in the conversation.
A job interview is not an informal exchange, but a professionally led conversation. Recruiters and hiring managers pursue clear objectives and use targeted questioning techniques. And yet many candidates go into interviews insufficiently prepared. They rely on finding the right words spontaneously – and only realise during the conversation how difficult it is to speak clearly about what feels self-evident. There is a crucial difference between being able to do something and being able to talk about it.
This is exactly where job interview training comes in.
What the training achieves
For the job interview
In job interview training, you receive what is often missing in the application process: honest and differentiated feedback on your presence, your impact and your argumentation.
You gain an understanding of how interviewers think and what they look for. This enables you to prepare more effectively and to enter the conversation with a clear mindset – as an equal conversation partner. The focus is not on what you say about yourself, but on how you demonstrate it.
You work with concrete examples instead of standard answers – making your experience tangible. You learn to structure your experience in a way that allows your counterpart to form a clear picture of how you work. Storytelling becomes a key tool in making your experience understandable.
At the same time, you understand the structure of a job interview – from preparation to the conversation itself and the follow-up – and recognise the importance of each phase.
For your self-marketing
Self-marketing is often seen only in the context of job interviews. In reality, it is a central part of professional life – whether when presenting yourself to new managers, seeking promotion or working on projects. Repeatedly, the task is to make your contribution visible.
Job interview training therefore also strengthens your overall communication and positioning skills – far beyond the interview itself.
How we work
Initial meeting (by phone or online)
In a 15-minute complimentary initial meeting, you get to know my way of working and clarify your expectations for the training.
Preparation
You prepare for the training as you would for a real job interview. To do so, you send me your application documents as well as the job advertisement. You will also receive a script that explains the application process and the background to interviews. This allows you to place the training content in context.
Session 1: simulated interview
We conduct a realistic job interview. You then receive detailed feedback on your interview performance, your impact and your argumentation. You gain insight into the perspective of your interview partners and understand the expectations behind typical interview questions. Together, we refine your answers and develop concrete approaches for your preparation.
Session 2: review and consolidation
In a second session, we review your progress and deepen the key points. You apply what you have learned again and further develop your interview skills. As this session takes place online, you also train your impact in virtual interviews – a key competence in today’s recruitment process.
You benefit from my more than 25 years of experience in conducting job interviews. In addition, you receive comprehensive materials to support your preparation, follow-up and long-term application.

Your next step
Many people only realise during the interview how difficult it is to speak clearly about what feels self-evident. This training creates the space to practise exactly that – before it really matters. In a 15-minute complimentary initial meeting, you will get to know my way of working – and then decide whether this approach suits you.
