Outplacement; information for employees

This outplacement is offered by your employer – but it belongs to you. What you develop here serves your personal clarity – and remains with you. There is no feedback on content to your employer.

Why outplacement

A dismissal is rarely just a professional event. It raises questions – about your situation, your next step and what you want. Outplacement provides a framework to address these questions in a structured way.

The goal is not only to find a new position as quickly as possible – but one that suits you. This may be an opportunity to realise professional aspirations that previously had no space. Or you may simply need support in re-entering the job market. In both cases, we work together on the next steps – at your pace and according to your needs.

What we work on together

The scope depends on your situation and your employer’s offering. Not all topics are relevant for everyone – we decide together what makes sense.

Dealing with the situation

A dismissal triggers emotions – this is normal. We take a calm and structured look at the situation: what has happened? How are you dealing with it? What are the next practical steps – from garden leave and informing your personal network to establishing a new daily structure?

Personal and professional assessment

Who am I? What can I do? What do I want? These three questions form the basis of any successful reorientation. We analyse your strengths and development areas, reflect on your past decisions and develop a clear self-image – as the foundation for credible self-marketing.

Inventory of your capabilities

We build a comprehensive picture of your competencies: professional expertise, personal strengths, past achievements and successes. Concrete success stories make your capabilities tangible – both for yourself and for job interviews.

Career goals and job research

What are you looking for in your next role – in terms of content and environment? We develop a clear requirement profile. For lateral moves, targeted job research is also advisable: conversations with people already working in the desired role provide clarity on suitability and interest.

Job search and strategy

We analyse the open and hidden job market and develop a search strategy that suits you – across job advertisements, speculative applications, your personal network, LinkedIn and headhunters.

Application documents

We develop a strong CV and a compelling motivation letter – without generic application language, but with concrete content. Where appropriate, we complement your documents with a track record r project list. Your LinkedIn profile is also included.

Preparation for interviews

We simulate real job interviews, develop tailored communication strategies and prepare you for challenging questions. After each interview, we review the experience together and adjust your preparation accordingly.

Support throughout the process

I support you throughout the entire application process – from the first application to the decision on a specific offer. If required, I also assist you with contract and salary negotiations.

Probation period coaching

Starting a new role brings its own challenges. I support you with questions around onboarding, positioning and relationship-building – so that your start is successful.

How I work

Every dismissal is different – and so is every outplacement. What we work on, and how intensively, depends on your situation:

If you already have experience with applications and know your professional direction, you may only need targeted support in job search and applications. If you have spent many years in the same organisation, you may need more time to process the situation and reorient yourself.

And if you feel that your own behaviour contributed to the dismissal, coaching can help you reflect on this – so that your next step is based on a clearer foundation.

I offer exclusively one-to-one outplacement. Because outplacement is a personal process – and should also be personal in how it is supported.

You benefit from my more than 25 years of experience in personal and professional assessment, job search and applications. In addition, you receive comprehensive materials on all topics discussed, as well as templates for your application documents.

Confidentiality

The content of our conversations is confidential. Feedback to your employer as sponsor is limited to whether sessions are taking place and how the collaboration is progressing in general – not to the content. What you develop and decide remains yours.

Your next step

A dismissal is a turning point. But it is also a moment in which much becomes possible – if you approach it actively. The first step is a conversation. In a 30-minute complimentary initial meeting, you will get to know my way of working – and then decide whether this form of support suits you.
