Personal and professional assessment for employees; information for company

Why personal and professional assessment?

A successful long-term collaboration is based on alignment – between your employees’ career goals and your needs as an employer. This alignment does not happen by itself. It requires clarity on both sides.

In the personal and professional assessment, your employees develop a clear understanding of their professional aspirations, goals and strengths. They are then able to actively contribute their goals and needs to discussions about the shared future.

This benefits your organisation on two levels. Those who understand their employees can invest in their development in a targeted way and retain valuable know-how. And if alignment is not sustainable in the long term, employees begin to explore alternatives at an early stage – making a potential separation easier for both sides.

In times of skills shortages, personal and professional assessment therefore contributes both to employee retention and to a responsible separation culture.

Topics

The personal and professional assessment is based on the concept of strategic career design: those who build their careers on their personal strengths continue to achieve above-average performance as they progress in their careers – with a sustainable level of energy. The focus is on your employees as individuals – their personality, preferences and needs. These are often not fully conscious. The aim is to make them visible so that they can be integrated into career design.

The result is clarity about professional direction: your employees understand their preferred job content – what they enjoy doing and where their strengths lie – as well as the working conditions under which they perform best. They also gain clarity about their personal development areas.

Methodology

I deliberately refrain from using personality or aptitude tests. Instead, I encourage self-reflection through simple, transparent exercises. Only insights developed by the individual themselves provide genuine confidence in shaping their professional future.

This approach requires participants to engage with the topics between sessions. The key insights often emerge precisely there. The methods used can be applied over the long term – as the fundamental questions in career design remain the same.

How I work

Complimentary initial meeting

I offer your employees a non-binding 30-minute complimentary initial meeting – allowing them to get to know me and my way of working before deciding.

On my homepage an information flyer for employees is available for initial orientation.

Review and feedback

In the final session, we review the overall process. My feedback to you as the client organisation is limited to the process – not the content.

What your employees develop is communicated by them directly – to you or to HR. If desired, a joint review meeting with all parties can also be arranged.

Quality assurance

I place emphasis on a clearly defined mandate. I review the coaching with my clients and, where appropriate, reflect on it anonymously with my supervisor and through exchange within my professional network.
